The Students for a Democratic Society Anti-War Working Group was born out of an idea that some SDSers had at the SDS Winter Retreat in Athens Ohio back in January.
With this group we can: communicate with other chapters about anti-war activity on campuses; coordinate activity around events like the anniversary of the Iraq war; send out calls for emergency demonstrations when something happens to warrant it; produce leaflets and flyers that people can use to organize their campuses, and to document the various anti-war actions that happen across the country.
We in SDS are against the violent tactics used by the United States government to repress and exploit people around the world. These tactics range from the ongoing war and occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan, to the enormous financial and military aid to Israel in their war against the Palestinians. This working group exists to organize against these wars and interventions.
